Dear Homies,
We don't need to criticize, judge, or condemn others. I know you like to, but, the keys to peace are unique to every person. You can't force or control someone to conform to another way of thinking or living. Critiquing a lifestyle in a lot of cases will only lead to further rebellion, and well, good luck persuading them to your morals with aggression or an attack. If the key doesn't fit, it never will.
When we practice tolerance in our lives we are liberated to work on our own issues. Have the ability to stop new conflicts before they build into big ones. Don't allow intolerance disrupt your peace, let it go. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean that you can't get along.
When you learn to love yourself to the full extent of human capacity, you can love and accept the world outside of you. Stop being afraid of the things you don't understand. Stop hating everyone and everything that is different from you. Stop. There is no worldly pleasure as fulfilling as a calm on the inside. You can make that happen!
Let me live my life, I have granted that pleasure to you.
How can we ever have peace in a world that begs for chaos through intolerance?
Love,
Rita
P.S. I will leave you with this quote:
"Our true selves are buried beneath layers of moss and brick. We have to break through those layers and be liberated, but we are afraid it may break us, also. We have to remind ourselves over and over again that the layers of moss and brick are not our true selves."
-Thich Nhat Hanh
